Australian Nuclear and Science Technology Organisation (ANSTO) is pleased to inform that the Innovation Minister, Senator the Hon Kim Carr has announced the extension of the Access to Major Research Facilities Programme (AMRFP) .
Changes to AMRFP as a result of the extension are as follows:
- Support for synchrotron science is now provided through the Australian Synchrotron and International Synchrotron Access Program ;
- The number of trips that a researcher may participate in has been reduced to 1 per year.
Senator Carr said: "The Australian Government is committed to placing our researchers at the very forefront of scientific discovery. Continuing to fund this program will ensure our research community has access to some of the very best facilities across the world."
