The Australian Synchrotron is currently accepting applications for Foundation Investor (FI) beamtime for the period of September - December 2009.
As WA is a Foundation Investor Partner at the Australian Synchrotron, researchers in the state are eligible to apply for this beamtime. Currently shifts are available on the following beamlines (1 shift = 8 hours of beamtime):
- Infrared Microscope (5 shifts available)
- High Resolution Far Infrared Spectroscopy (3 shifts available)
- Protein Crystallography I & II (6 shifts available)
- Powder Diffraction X (5 shifts available)
- Small and Wide Angle X-ray Scattering X (5 shifts available)
- X-Ray Fluorescence Microprobe X (5 shifts available)
- X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy X (3 shifts available)
- Soft X-ray Spectroscopy X (6 days available)
If you have research projects for which you might be able to use the above techniques, you are encouraged to apply for FI beamtime before July 16, 2009 .
