We would like to encourage all faculty staff to complete the UWA Working Life Survey 2009 , which will be available online for three weeks from 6 until 24 July.

The survey presents the opportunity to have your thoughts and attitudes heard on a number of issues concerning your experience as an employee of the University. These include the leadership of the University, the way you are managed, your ability to achieve work/life balance, career opportunities and many other issues affecting your working life. While most questions require standard responses on a five point scale, you also have the opportunity to add individual comments.

The Survey will:

  • Be conducted online, unless you don't have computer access, in which case it will be provided to you in hard copy.
  • Comprise 130 questions (in addition to demographic data) and should take approximately 25 minutes to complete.
  • Be conducted anonymously and presented in a way that will prevent any individual responses from being identified. There will be no way of identifying ‘hard copy' responses from the online responses.

The University has contracted ‘Voice Project' which operates from Macquarie University, to conduct the survey.

An all staff communication will be sent to launch the survey on 6th July. The more people who participate, the more useful the results will be, so please put aside the time to complete the survey if you can.

If you are on leave during the time when the survey is online and would still like to participate, or if you have any other questions about the process, please contact Rod Dewsbury , Manager, HR Policy and Planning on 6488 1729.
