The rejoinder process for Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Projects 2010 opened 23rd June. A workshop on preparing rejoinders will be held this Friday 26th June, led by Professor Colin Raston (ARC College of Expert Member). NHMRC applicants are also welcome to attend. Further advice and feedback is available from the Research Development Office.

The ARC and NHMRC (National Health and Medical Research Council) invite applicants to read and comment upon what the assessors of their applications have written. This is known as the rejoinder process.

Applicants should always take the opportunity to rejoin, regardless of how positive, or negative, or brief the assessor comments appear.

This workshop will provide hints and advice on developing your rejoinder, as well as the opportunity to work with mentors on your own application. It will be geared towards Discovery Projects, but much of the discussion will be relevant to ARC Linkage Projects and NHMRC Projects.

The details of the workshop are as follows:
Date : 26th June 11.00am-12.00pm
Venue : Physics Lecture Room 2.15
RSVP : Rochelle Fleming (Research Development Officer, Faculty of Life and Physical Sciences)

If you are unable to attend the workshop, there are generic advice notes of last year's rejoinder session available on the Research Services website .

ARC provides its own guidelines which you should read whilst preparing your response.

Further advice and feedback is available from Debbie Thackray (Faculty Research Development Officer).

Please ensure all rejoinders are submitted on the ARC GAMS (Grant Applications Management System) by Friday 3 July to enable the Research Grants Office to submit them to the ARC by Monday 6 July.
