Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Stephen Smith and Tanzanian Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Bernard K Membe today (Friday May 29) delivered a public address at The University of Western Australia to mark the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers.

Foreign Minister Membe spoke first on " The Politics of Peacekeeping in Africa" followed by Stephen Smith who spoke on "Peacekeeping and the Protection of Civilians" .

Both Ministers took part in a question and answer session following their address.
