Business education in Western Australia will take a significant step forward with the opening on Sunday of the new $50 million home for The University of Western Australia's Business School.

The new environmentally-sustainable building will be opened by Western Australian Premier Colin Barnett before an audience comprising the leaders of the State's business community at 10am on Sunday.

Following the official opening, the new building will be open to the public through to 4pm.

The public events include a performance by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, a forum on leadership and an interview with former Wesfarmers Limited chairman and CEO Trevor Eastwood.
