The First Year Engineering Course and Career Advice Day will be held at the University Club on Thursday 23rd April. Students will have the opportunity to talk with engineers from industry on industry expectations and career options, talk with students from the University Engineers Club and UWA Young Engineers, and find out about what scholarships are available.
The day will run from 1pm through until 5pm, concluding with a BBQ on the terraced area next to Riley Oval.
The programme of the event is as follows:
1.00-1.30pm Environmental Engineering
1.45-2.15pm Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering
2.20-2.50pm Chemical and Process Engineering and Petroleum Engineering
3.05-3.30pm Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering and Offshore Engineering
3.45-4.15pm Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Process & Control Engineering
4.30-5.00pm Software Engineering
5.00pm BBQ, Outside Terrace, next to Riley Oval
All are welcome to attend. Should you plan on attending the BBQ, please RSVP your attendance by Monday 20th April, so that final catering numbers can be confirmed with the venue.
