As part of the comprehensive internal Strategic Review, the Education Co-Chairs Gordon Royle and James Trevelyan are seeking volunteers to help collect data and develop options for change.

Issues included in the education review area are all issues concerning undergraduate and postgraduate courses, honours year, industry internships, strategy for the new 3+2 course structures etc.

An initial meeting for interested volunteers will be held on Friday 6 March 2009 between 1pm and 2pm in the Billings Room (Third Floor, Electrical Engineering Building).

At this meeting, Gordon and James will present the terms of reference and form a number of working groups to look at detailed issues surrounding education in the Faculty.

Each volunteer would be a member of one to two working froups in their areas of interest, and should be prepared to contribute about 2 hours a week to the review.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact James or Gordon (details below) and come to the volunteer meeting on Friday if possible.

A light lunch and refreshments will be served.

Please be aware that there will be open faculty workshops to discuss issues in the education review area, and all staff will be able to participate through this process.
