This semester, for the first time, the University held its Orientation programme over two weeks instead of the usual one week.  The extra time provided the Faculties an opportunity to host more activites to help our commencing students settle in to University life.

The Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics offered a pre-enrolment session for all postgraduate students.  This was an incredibly successful activity which resulted in many students commenting that they appreciated the opportunity to meet staff and work through their enrolment.

The Faculty Welcome was extended this year to include all new students in the Faculty, including postgraduate, international and undergraduate students from all of our courses.  The Welcome included presentations from the Dean, key staff and student representatives as well as staff from Learning, Language and Research Skills (LLRS) and Equity and Diversity.

In addition, the Faculty hosted a breakfast, which meant the Faculty had a whole morning with the students.  The event was very well attended and provided the students with another great networking opportunity.

Congratulations and thanks to all of the staff who helped make this semester's orientation a success.
