Professor McAleer has left his position at The University of Western Australia as a Professor of Econometrics, which he has held for 18 years.

During that time Professor McAleer has been the recipient of substantial research grant funding comparable to any other academic economist in Australia. He has been ranked internationally as the leading academic econometrics publisher in Australia and has taught undergraduates and supervised many postgraduate students. All matters in dispute between the University and Professor McAleer have been resolved by agreement, the terms of which are confidential.
