Friends of UWA in the UK and Europe was launched late last year at a cocktail party in London as a first step in developing a strong support base across a number of nations.

The objective is to create a vibrant UWA community in the UK and Europe – one in which alumni value their relationships with each other and with their University. Alumni with similar interests can benefit from being part of UK networks built around career, cultural and other interests. Such networks can be of great value to alumni arriving in the UK or those wishing to pursue particular objectives such as making career changes or just catching up with old classmates. The group aims to provide a tax effective means for UK and European alumni to make contributions to the University.
