The University of Western Australia Business School is delighted to announce demèter wealth management (dwm) as the newest member of its Silver Corporate Circle.

The partnership was formalised in an agreement signed on 22 December 2010 between Acting Dean of the Business School, Winthrop Professor Izan, and Ms Geraldine Scott, Principal of demèter wealth management.

‘We are extremely pleased to be able to welcome demèter wealth management to our Corporate Circle,' said Professor Izan. ‘demèter wealth management places a strong emphasis on ethical business, and this partnership will enable us to extend our community outreach activities in this area.

‘For example, Visiting Expert Dr Mary Gentile, whose February visit is being supported by demèter wealth management, will deliver a public lecture on Giving Voices to Values, a curriculum that offers practical methods to implement ethical decision making.'

Ms Scott said that the partnership would allow demèter wealth management to continue its tradition of philanthropy. ‘We have a long history of giving back to the community - for example, through the demèter benevolent foundation and our sister alliance with the ISIS Foundation.

‘Our partnership with the UWA Business School will allow us to continue this philanthropic tradition by enriching business education and helping to equip tomorrow's leaders with the skills, knowledge and expertise to engage in ethical business practices.'

Visiting Expert Dr Mary Gentile will deliver her public lecture, ‘Giving Voice to Values: The "How" of Business Ethics,' on Monday, 21 February. More information .
