Western Australia's future
transport infrastructure needs
will be discussed through the lenses of government, industry and academia at a free public event at 5.30pm on
Tuesday, 20 April
at the UWA Business School (please note that the date has been postponed from 17 March).
The discussion will include a snap shot of
major projects in WA
: oil and gas, SWIS and NWIS, rail and port infrastructure; international standards driving best practice in infrastructure management; infrastructure reliability and efficiency; infrastructure life cycle and cost management; emerging challenges in building and sustaining human capability to utilise infrastructure effectively; role of human and organisation design factors in determining infrastructure reliability; and an examination of social dimensions in transportation management.
Panel members include John Fischer (Executive Director Transport Policy and Planning, WA Department of Transport), John Cleland (CEO, WestNet Infrastructure Group) and Dr Melinda Hodkiewicz (Discipline Group Leader for the Engineering Asset Management (EAM) Program, UWA)
