The Ian Potter Foundation invites early career researchers to apply for the travel grants.
The Ian Potter Foundation makes grants for general charitable purposes in Australia.
The Foundation also has a small travel grants program.
The objective of the Travel Grants Program is to assist early career researchers with at least three years tenure to travel, usually outside Australia, for the purpose of professional development (for example, attending a conference) and to gain further experience and meet their peers in the international scene.
Funding is of between $2,000 and $3,000, the individual's employing organisation must undertake to match the grant.
Applications submission: at least 4 months before travel.
Closing Dates: 1st June 2009 (first round), 1st October 2009 (second round)
