TJ Chong Sue, of UWA/West Coast Swim Club and the Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC), was named Overall Male Lifesaver at the Australia Pool Life Saving Championships after winning six individual gold, five team gold and one team silver.
TJ travelled to Sydney for the three day national competition as part of the WA Team that claimed 24 gold, 15 silver and 6 bronze medals to finish third behind New South Wales and Victoria.
This is the second time the young athlete has been named Overall Male Lifesaver at the Meet, after a stellar 2018 that also saw him claim several Australian records.
TJ also won the Under 16 Australian Cup Super Lifesaver Award and the gold medal in the Under 16 Male Overall Championship.
Outside of Lifesaving, TJ is also an accomplished swimmer at the Australian Age Swimming Championships, claiming four Australian Age relay records in 2018.
