UWA students redeemed themselves with a very funny, clever and largely inoffensive Prosh publication this year.

The Rapid Disintegration was widely applauded on and off campus as the best Prosh paper in years.

But donations were down on the previous couple of years, probably as a result of some inappropriate content in last year's paper which might have lost the students some support this year.

About 4,000 students participated on Prosh day in April and raised just over $85,000 for its three nominated charities.

They were ASeTTS (a WA agency which supports and rehabilitates survivors of torture and trauma); InclusionWA (which helps and supports people of all abilities to be involved in the community); and Variety WA (which empowers and assists children who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs).

Tony Goodman, Director of Student and Corporate Services at the Guild , said they received a lot of positive feedback on the newspaper this year from people outside the University community.

It was the first year that Prosh had a website for donations.  Anybody who would like to donate can still do so.
