On Saturday 12 th April students from UWA Albany took to the Albany streets to raise funds for a number of worthy charities as part of the UWA Guild's annual Prosh event.

Prosh - short for ‘procession' - is the crazy day held in April each year. Students from the University of Western Australia take to the streets in droves selling copies of the satirical newspaper to unsuspecting victims.  This year celebrates the 83 rd year since the event's inception in 1931.

The Prosh newspaper is written by a dedicated crew of students who strive to make the content entertaining and humorous, offering everything from razor-sharp observations of local and global events to downright hilarious black comedy.

Students started the day with a hearty breakfast in the Student Common Room - affectionately referred to as the dungeon due to its location in the lower level of the UWA Albany.

The fundraising students were easily recognizable in their creative and colourful attire and fund raising tins.

This year Prosh's charities are Variety WA, Asetts (Association for Services to Torture and Trauma Survivors) and Inclusion WA.
