Economist and historian Reg Appleyard clocked up millions of air miles long before frequent flyer points came into being.
The Emeritus Professor became known as the QANTAS Professor or the Fly-Out Fly-In Professor, as he travelled extensively to conduct his research.
The UWA Historical Society is hosting an evening on the couch with Professor Appleyard and his colleague Winthrop Professor Paul McLeod at St George's College on Tuesday 26 November.
Convocation is providing afternoon tea at 4pm, with the conversation starting at 5pm in the College's junior common room.
It is the UWAHS/Convocation 5 th annual lecture, but rather than Reg delivering a lecture, Paul will ask him questions to tease out the fascinating details of his life of travel and learning.
