Anyone who has volunteered would agree that, whatever the project, volunteers often get more out of the experience than they put in.

UWA Open Days have been successful because of the generosity of our staff and students. We are humbled by the enthusiastic contribution of staff on the day, as well as the efforts of those who have spent many hours in preparation.

I encourage all of you - if you haven't already offered your time - to come along to UWA's best Open Day in a century, which is on Sunday 11 August from 10am to 4pm.

On Open Day, we proudly demonstrate everything UWA has to offer.  Our primary focus is to showcase our courses to future students and their families, and to show why UWA is one of Australia's best universities and among the top 100 in the world.

I also welcome the broader community to our campus without gates so don't hesitate to recommend the day to those who simply want to visit UWA.
