NEW TEACHING COURSE AT UWA
The UWA Albany Centre, in conjunction with UWA's Faculty of Education, will be offering two-year Master of Teaching initial teacher education courses starting in 2013. These programs will enable people who already have a degree to qualify with a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) or a Master of Teaching (Primary).
Such a course may appeal to a variety of graduates from a range of areas - for example, engineering, drama, psychology, speech pathology, arts, science, business, languages and nursing. People wishing to join the program may also have had previous experience in professional work settings. Such diverse knowledge and skill sets greatly enhance both early childhood and primary teaching and learning.
"We're excited to be able to expand the choice of courses offered at the Albany Centre", said Director Jennifer O'Neil. "This will provide an opportunity for people who are looking for a career change to retrain in a field that is both rewarding and in-demand".
This two-year program will be offered on a full-time and part-time basis from 2013. More information is available on 9842 0888 or [email protected].
