As part of its strategy to streamline admissions processing, the International Centre will soon commence making conditional offers to school leavers to all undergraduate degree programs except those which are quota restricted (ie, Medicine, Dentistry and Podiatric Medicine).
In the initial stage, which is planned to commence late September 2010, conditional offers will be made pending final academic results for the following qualifications only:
- Ø Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE)
- Ø South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)
- Ø University of Western Australian Foundation Program (UWAFP)
- Ø Western Australian Universities' Foundation Program (WAUFP)
- Ø International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)
- Ø Singapore-Cambridge Advanced Levels
- Ø GCE Advanced Levels
The International Centre will issue letters of offer for applications that meet the UWA entry standard that have been received to date, as well as any new applications as they are submitted. The letter of offer will identify the conditions which must be met prior to commencement in terms of academic performance, English language competence and any specific subject prerequisites. The acceptance of offer should not be returned until the student has met the conditions, and should be submitted along with academic results and payment of the tuition and OSHC deposit.
Stage Two, planned for early November, will see the rollout of conditional offers to a number of other school-leaving qualifications. Conditional offers for any additional school leaving qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis if requested.
