You would have heard by now that UWA is introducing a new course structure in 2012 - we call it "New Courses 2012".

The International Centre will update our representatives regularly about the changes and what they will mean for prospective students and our official representatives.  We will also respond to FAQs so please send through any questions you may have.

The University of Western Australia is one of several leading universities around the world that are reshaping their course structures to match the needs of new students in a new era.

One question we are asked many times - why is UWA making these changes?

UWA's new course structures have the following objectives:

  • to meet the future educational needs of our students and the wider community, at the highest possible standard
  • to position UWA well for the future by reinforcing our international reputation for a commitment to excellence
  • to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness in teaching.
