Science Café is a National Science Week event where professionals from science, technology, engineering and maths are invited to network with high school students over morning tea. This is a great opportunity to speak one-on-one with students to pass on your practical knowledge about careers in STEM and inspire the next generation.

9am – 12pm, Thursday 24 August 2017

Winthrop Hall, University of Western Australia

How does it work?  You will be seated at tables and will talk to four students at a time. You will be encouraged to talk with the students about your career path in STEM – what you do, why you enjoy it, how you got to where you are. We welcome professionals from various career stages, from high profile researchers to PhD students.  You will swap tables to complete six 10 minute time slots.

We are seeking a diverse mix of STEM professionals to showcase the variety of careers available.  We would like to represent as many disciplines and career paths as possible.  Expressions of interest are now open and you will be notified in July if you have been successful.

Register your interest here .

Expressions of interest close Friday 14 July.
