The Reid Library refurbishment project is now complete, creating a rejuvenated and welcoming space on the Crawley campus for students to learn and interact.
This project involved a complete redesign of the ground floor to provide a range of collaborative learning spaces to support different learning styles as well as new furniture and the opening of the Quobba Gnarning café.
Since the upgrade, the library has become a popular hub with 39,986 users coming through the doors in a single week in September 2016. That’s a 74.5% increase on the 22,918 that visited during the same period in 2015!
Users provided feedback about the new space as part of a recent survey, with 86% of comments being positive. The refurbishment has also been embraced by the UWA community on social media with descriptions including ‘ stylish, modern, comfortable and student heaven’ .
