The Academic Staff Agreement provides for the establishment of the Academic Staff Consultative Committee (ACC).  The role of  the ACC is to enable direct consultation between management and employees on workplace relations and human resource matters.  The membership of the committee includes three elected staff representatives and a vacancy has arisen for a staff representative at Level C.

Nominations are invited from staff members interested in serving on the committee for a two year term between 2016 - 2018.   Individuals nominating need to carefully consider their capacity to regularly attend committee meetings.  ACC meetings are held monthly and last for approximately two hours.

Nomination prerequisites: A MEMBER FROM ACADEMIC STAFF FROM LEVEL C

Voting Criteria:  ACADEMIC STAFF ONLY

Term of Office:  TWO YEARS (Commencing September 2016)

Nomination process:

Your nomination accompanied by a brief statement of no more than 100 words identifying relevant experience and interest in the ACC committee and a current photograph (optional) should be forwarded by email or by letter to the Returning Officer, Lucette Cant in Human Resources by 5.00pm  Friday, 24 September 2016 .

If a single nomination is received then the nominee will be automatically elected to the Committee. If nominations exceed the number of places on a Committee, a ballot of Academic Staff will be conducted.  Staff will be advised by all-staff email as to whether a ballot will be required.
