Dear colleagues

Human Resources are running Mediation and Conflict Resolution Training for staff following on from successful training programs run over the last 4 years.  The course is nationally accredited and is an excellent opportunity for staff to learn conflict resolution skills. The course is interactive and will provide a number of competencies including negotiation, mediation, conflict diagnosis and conflict resolution.

The course is run by Jill Howieson from the Law School and David Rogers from Human Resources and will be held at the Law School for 3 hours each week over a period of 10 weeks, with a final full day workshop. The first module of training is due to start on Wednesday 9 September 2015 and the training is scheduled after hours on Wednesdays between 5.00pm – 8.00pm, finishing in early November.  Information on the course can be found at https://www.hr.uwa.edu.au/development/programs/adr4p .

The course is offered to internal and external participants and the training is free for UWA staff.  Staff registering for the course will typically have supervisory responsibility or be staff members who may deal with conflict situations. The course has been well subscribed in previous years so we recommend early registration. The registration is online at the above web address and registrations for staff for the Semester 2 course close 4 September 2015.

I look forward to your support of this training programme and if you have any questions please contact Jill Howieson at [email protected] or David Rogers at [email protected] .

Kind Regards,

Sandra Ventre

Director, Human Resources
