Two eminent scholars and most influential chemical engineers in India, Professor Arvind Lali of Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), India, and Dr D K Tuli of Indian Oil Company R&D Centre, accompanied by Dr Reena Pandit of ICT, visited UWA Centre for Energy on 20th September 2013, as Winthrop Professor Dongke Zhang FTSE’s honourable guests, after they jointly won a major AISRF Grand Challenge grant, worth ca. $6M, with QUT and Curtin and other Australian and Indian partners from the Australian Commonwealth Government and Indian Department of Science and Technology. The delegation was very impressed with the state-of-the-art research facilities and the great variety of innovative research programs undertaken within the Centre of Energy. Professor Lali also gave a seminar on “ Doing things in new ways at the DBT-ICT Centre ” following the tour of UWA Centre for Energy facilities.
