Perth businesspeople have a premium opportunity to update their knowledge and networks through a two day conference focussed on doing business with the State's major trading partners in an ever-changing and more complex world order.

This is the message from Western Australian Premier Colin Barnett who together with 10 other key Perth business and government leaders have shaped the discussions for the inaugural IN THE ZONE Conference initiated, and to be hosted by, The University of Western Australia from 8-10 November.

More than 50 national and international speakers are being brought to Perth to stimulate discussion on the public policy, geopolitical and business challenges facing Australia and its major trading partners in China, Japan, India and South East Asia.

"The time is now ripe for Western Australian business to seriously invest in understanding the complexity of the strategic issues for the future of our zone, and the unique opportunity Perth has to position itself in this region," Premier Barnett said.

"Two days' investment in attending this conference will help shape, educate and enrich all who want to continue doing business successfully and effectively in the future in this important zone."

IN THE ZONE will be a strategic meeting point for the Western Australian and wider regional community to engage in dialogue about the future of the zone we inhabit and to deepen the policy, trade and investment relationships as partners in a shared future.

Limited seating is available at this premiere Perth event.  To be amid these important discussions at the IN THE ZONE Conference register now online at https://www.zone.uwa.edu.au/ .
