For the first time UWA gathered all faculties to host the Postgraduate Expo Information Session. The event took place on 14th May and was held in the banquet hall of the University Club.

The aim of the Postgraduate Expo was to showcase a host of opportunities for further study:

- Graduate diploma courses
- Graduate certificate courses
- Master's degree by coursework
- PhD degree
- Master's degree by research

At the event, our Faculty staff offered advice for students on the available postgraduate courses.

All faculties hosted multiple information sessions running throughout the afternoon. The ECM Faculty seminar about postgraduate research and coursework opportunities was run by Dr Angeline Loh, doctoral graduate from UWA , Rachel Cardell-Oliver, Associate Dean for Research and Rob Blandford, Manager, Student Affairs. The ECM Faculty seminar was attended by over 50 students. The attendees discovered more about the structure of the available postgraduate courses, the research opportunities in our Faculty and career opportunities for those with a higher degree.

It was a great opportunity for current undergraduate students to come along and talk to the Faculty advisors about a range of coursework programs on offer. The atmosphere was really busy and it was great having Research and Scholarships Office there for further information. It was a very successful inaugural event.

All faculties agree that it was a worthwhile event and are interested in holding a second one later in the year.
