Have your students ever asked you what it's like to study at university? Encourage them to register for one (or more) of our ‘A Day in the Life of...' events, which allow high school students in Years 11 and 12 to gain first-hand experience of life at UWA for a day.
The power of two million candles transformed landmark Winthrop Hall into a kaleidoscope of colour and sound on Friday evening (February 8) for UWA LUMINOUSnight, a public celebration of art and culture to launch The University of Western Australia's 2013 Centenary year.
UWA Centenary celebrations got off to an early start with a science theme when UWA hosted more than 300 high school students in January across two events: the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) and annual Science Experience.
Students of Enactus UWA - formerly Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) - began 2013 with a two-day camp to develop their leadership skills while exploring and discussing ideas around development, poverty, and social justice.
Do you have students that are interested in how we learn, remember and think; or how and why people behave the way they do? If so, they may consider studying Psychology, which will provide them with a scientific understanding of human behaviour and mental processes.
Although the majority of the University will be closed for two weeks around the Christmas and New Year period, UWA Admissions and Prospective Students Office staff will be available to help answer any queries about entry requirements and changing TISC preferences on the following dates:
To help alleviate any confusion and anxiety students may be experiencing in the lead up to the 31 December release of WACE results, we're inviting Year 12 students and their parents to attend a ‘Make the Most of your WACE' information evening. Teachers and career advisers are also welcome to attend.
Do you know any budding architects or design students heading into Year 12 in 2013? Applications have been extended for the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts' (ALVA) 2013 Summer School Studio, where students will have the opportunity to learn the design principles behind architecture, landscape architecture and urban design over the summer school holidays.
Do you know any students who are keen to pursue a career in the film industry? The Perth International Arts Festival is offering an exciting opportunity for students to take part in the 2013 Perth Festival.
Be sure to encourage your students to join us on Sunday, 12 August for Open Day at UWA! Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to explore UWA's beautiful campus and high-quality facilities; interact with staff and students; and participate in a wide range of fun, hands-on activities.
UWA was abuzz with activity through the July school holidays with around 250 high school students participating in one of our ‘A Day in the Life of...' events to learn more about life as a university student.
The Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team at The University of Western Australia have won the 2012 SIFE National Championships.
The team, based at the UWA Business School, beat 23 other teams from around Australia at the SIFE National Conference and Championships in Melbourne. It was the fourth SIFE UWA National Championships win in five years.
Imagine your students having the opportunity to visit UWA's stunning campus - complete with the iconic Winthrop Clock Tower, Sunken Gardens, Somerville Auditorium, peacocks, ducks and other ‘Treasures of UWA' - from any location in the world!
Students seeking a career in Health or Medicine may consider the Population Health major as part of their undergraduate degree.
