The two men responsible for mediating peace between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria's Plateau state will be the guest speakers at a free public lecture at The University of Western Australia on Saturday October 25.

The remarkable story of Imam Muhammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye's transformation from leaders of militant Christian and Muslim youth into grassroots peacebuilders is the subject of a documentary The Imam and the Pastor.

The award winning movie was co-produced by Palestinian journalist and academic, Dr Imad Karam who will be joining Imam Muhammad and Pastor James to answer questions.

The event has been organised by the Centre for Muslim States and Societies at The University of Western Australia and Initiatives of Change (WA).

Editors note: Imam Muhammad Ashafa, Pastor James Wuye and Dr Imad Karam will be available for interview from 23rd - 27th October.
