Chief Justice Wayne Martin's breakfast address - ‘Improving corporate governance in the public sector: where judges fear to tread' - will launch a half-day seminar hosted by the Trade, Migration and Development Research Centre of UWA Business School and the Institute of Public Administration Australia (WA Division) on Tuesday, 24 June.

The Hon. Wayne Martin, who was chairman of the Law Reform Commission when it reviewed the criminal and civil justice system in WA, will provide a brief history of the role of the judiciary in reviewing administrative decisions and will examine the recent establishment of offices that monitor government conduct.

Other presenters at the seminar include Raymond da Silva Rosa, Professor, Financial Studies and Director, the WA Centre for Capital Markets Research, UWA Business School; Colin Murphy, Auditor General and Chair of the Integrity Coordination Group; and Alison Gaines, global practice leader of Gerald Daniels Consulting.
