This year's GMA Dinner sponsored by BankWest (24 March at University Club) with Sir Rod Eddington was a great success. The evening started out with a ‘video link' from President Brenna Pavey, who was in the Caribbean for the World Cup Cricket. Business School Dean Tracey Horton followed with some words about the status of the fundraising campaign, new building, and the future of the Business School. GMA Vice President Jo Pownall was awarded the Charles Harper Prize which was presented by Margaret Harper.

Following a fantastic meal, GMA Patron Michael Chaney introduced the guest speaker, former British Airways chief Sir Rod Eddington. Sir Rod's tales of executive leadership and adventure in the airline industry reflected the evening's theme of navigation; his warmth and candor mesmerised those in attendance.

A raffle draw, dancing and networking followed in the magnificently decorated banquet hall, festooned with gyroscope flower arrangements. For more on the dinner, including a photo journal, visit the GMA website.
