Members of the Faculty and the wider University community gathered in May for a special ceremony in Singapore to celebrate the launch of PSB Academy’s new branding identity and the formal opening of its Delta Campus by Singapore’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Lim Hng Kiang.

Vice-Chancellor Alan Robson attended, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Life and Physical Sciences, Professor George Stewart, International Centre Director Dr Bruce Mackintosh, Head of the School of Biomedical, Biomolecular and Chemical Sciences Professor Geoff Stewart, Head of the School of Psychology, Associate Professor David Morrison and other staff members of the Faculty.

To mark the occasion, Professor Robson presented a framed photograph of Nobel Laureates Professor Barry Marshall and Emeritus Professor Robin Warren to PSB Academy. Following the formal speeches and a musical interlude provided by Academy students, guests were invited to inspect the new campus - including state-of-the-art science laboratories designed with input from members of the Faculty.

There are around 430 students enrolled in the Faculty’s BSc programs offered in Singapore. PSB Academy was recently named by EDUPOLL as the best overall private education organisation (PEO) in Singapore and the UWA life science programs offered at PSB were deemed to be the best life science programs currently offered by a PEO in Singapore.
