As of 1st September 2014, Information Services is being delivered through two new separate divisions, IT Services and the University Library.
Over the past 4 years, Information Services has delivered infrastructure and new services that have made significant improvements to both the student experience and research activities at the university. Some examples of these initiatives were the upgrade of the UWA network, the new Institutional Research Data Store (IRDS), improved student access to IT facilities such as printing and data storage across campus, and the rollout of a new service model for student IT support.
Continued growth and evolution of the library and IT areas, realignment within the Education portfolio, and the university’s future directions have resulted in the decision to operate as separate areas, both reporting into the DVC (Education).
We will continue to provide information and updates about the divisional change on this website.
