If you're planning to visit or contact your subject library during the inter-semester period, remember to check the opening hours. These hours will be in effect until Sunday 27th July 2014.

24/7 opening at the Reid Library

During the pre-examination study break and examination period, the Reid Library will be open 24/7. Entry to the library after 10pm is via Campus Card swipe access and is restricted to UWA staff and students.

Extended textbook loan period

Due to popular demand, we have extended the loan period for essential textbooks from 2 hours to 3 hours. The Reserve Collection has also had a change of name and is now called the High Demand Collection.

New Reid Information Desk

Reid Library temporary closure Saturday, 8th February 2014

Monday, 13 January 2014

The Reid Library will temporarily close on Saturday, 8th of February for building works relating to the refurbishment. The building will close at 6pm, Friday 7th February and re-open on Sunday 9th February from 2pm to 6pm. The Science Library will still be open from 2pm – 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Information Services apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.

Reid refurbishment work

Level 1 of the Reid Arts and Business Library will be undergoing some improvements over the long vacation. Refurbishment work will continue until mid-February and access to collections will continue to be available during this time. Temporary measures will be put in place for access to a variety of services and facilities on Level 1.

The Ithaka S+R Faculty Survey for UWA staff ran for two weeks in October and Dr Duc Dau (English and Cultural Studies) and Mr Michael Bennett (Law) have each won an iPad by providing their feedback on the impact of digital technologies on research, teaching and learning and publishing.
