The Vice-Chancellor will soon announce his decision on a starting date for the new undergraduate degrees.

All staff members are invited to attend a Future Framework Reference Forum on Friday 21 August, 11 am to 12.30 pm, in the Alexander Lecture Theatre (Arts G.57).

This open session, introduced by the Vice-Chancellor and independently chaired by Professor Graeme Martin, is timed to follow the Vice-Chancellor’s announcement and the call for expressions of interest in proposing majors.  It will be an opportunity for staff to:

• raise any Future Framework issues for clarification and comment
• exchange information and opinions on the implementation process
• convey views to the Implementation Committee.

I recommend that you attend this forum. It is the first of several events being scheduled to help staff understand the nature and implications of the new course structures.
