The Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) have recently announced that they will fund an innovative project entitled ‘Professional staff as leaders in enhancing student engagement: building capacity in emerging technologies through cascade and viral leadership’.

This project has been funded under the ALTC Leadership for Excellence program and will be led by Dr Lisa Cluett in collaboration with Dr Mark Pegrum (as pictured right) and Dr Judy Skene.

The project will commence in 2010 and aims to develop a new model of leadership based on community and networking and to provide professional development in emerging technologies for staff from UWA, ECU and Murdoch.

This is a significant achievement for the project team and will bring national attention to the work of Student Services and the Graduate School of Education at UWA.
