UWA's Academic Council has approved three new offshore programs to be offered in Singapore via PSB Academy. They are the BSc (Psychology and Human Performance), BSc (Sport Science) and from 2008 we expect to offer the BSc (Psychology). The Faculty will welcome its first intake of students on September 30.

These new programs add to the range already on offer in Singapore; Biomedical Science, Genetics, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical Science.

The BSc (Psychology and Human Performance) is expected to appeal to students who have a general interest in exercise, health, sport, rehabilitation and human resource management.

The BSc (Sport Science) should attract those who want to forge a career in the sport science industry as fitness centre managers, recreation officers, sports marketing consultants, exercise rehabilitation specialists or worksite health consultants.

The BSc (Psychology) provides a double major in psychology at third-year level and will attract those who wish to work in the psychology field, employed in health departments, hospitals, tertiary institutions and private enterprise.

The first two years of the programs will be similar, so students can transfer between the courses, while the third year has been designed specifically to lead to the career outcomes mentioned.
