News

Science Union is not just about hard-work and semester one has been a great start to show members to get the best out of the university experience. Science Union participated in interfaculty sport, each week testing science student's skill at basketball, cricket, soccer, water polo and netball to name a few sports. While referring to our performances as triumphant may be getting a little ahead of ourselves, although there were some great performances in basketball, cricket and water polo, we gave it a go and are aiming for bigger and better in semester 2.

Another excellent event that took place towards the end of semester 1 was Club Olympics run by the UWA. Student Guild. This is always lots of fun, and a chance to participate in less common activities such as body painting, mario kart races, food eating competitions just to name a few. Although Science Union was not able to lay claim to first prize, everyone that participated enjoyed themselves, and it certainly was entertaining for everyone that got to watch!

Science Union members also got to enjoy the third social event for the year, for the second year in a row, the highly anticipated Pyjama Party! It was a great night, made possible by the huge support from members and the UWA. Student Guild. Unfortunately as exams always come sneaking up at the end of semester Pyjama Party was Science Union's last event before the mid-year break.

Semester two however promises to be even better!!
