The Science Union is second oldest established Faculty Society on the UWA campus and is run by science students for science students. The University has always been steeped in tradition and Science Union has been no exception. Over 3000 students are enrolled in some form of science degree, and the SU endeavours to enrich the social, educational and political lives of each and every one.

Last year saw the successful return of the Science Ball which will be even bigger and better this year! As always we begin the year with Fresher camp, which is a weekend of socialising and a great way to meet people that you will be spending the next 3 years with. Throughout the year we also hold smaller events such as sundowners, PJ party, Science reunion, and the list goes on...

The Science Union is actively involved in interfaculty sports, which provides students an opportunity to display their talents in a friendly environment. Science Union endeavours to bring a closer relationship between academia & industry by holding careers nights and other educational events such as tutoring & course advice sessions.

We encourage all students - especially science students - to join the Science Union and become actively involved in campus life. For more information regarding the Science Union please feel free to visit our website https://www.scienceunion.org.au/

Wishing you all the best in 2007
