The International Linkages Database Service (ILDS) is now available for all staff in the Faculty to list all their International Linkages. The service was initiated by Professor George Stewart to collect and maintain all the international linkages of the staff in the Faculty. The IT development was a collaborative effort between the Faculty, the University Web Office and Human Resources.

The main features of the database include an International Linkages section, Travel Tips and Expertise/Research Topic at UWA. It is a web based interactive service designed to meet the needs of the people who will use it. The full benefits of the ILDS will be fully realised through use. Immediately, it will save time, raise the international profile of the Faculty and staff, increase and diversify sources of funding and focus the marketing effort of the Schools and Centres in the Faculty.

Visit the site today at https://www.science.uwa.edu.au/ilds and check it out. All staff that make international linkages/travel tips/expertise entries will automatically be entered into the ILDS Linkages competition. Each week a lucky linkager will win a premium bottle of wine and a monthly winner will enjoy a $100 dinner voucher from the University Club (until Novemeber 2006).

This is an exciting and innovative IT development. For more information please contact: Matthew Kohler, Project Manager. [email protected] .
