Orientation for our incoming Semester 1 students is being held from 19 to 23 February. The involvement of academic staff is fundamental to the success of creating a wonderful experience and the opportunity to create connections with students before commencement of semester.
Final year Civil Engineering student in the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, Maryam Khan, has won the 2017 Concrete Institute Rising Stars Award with her project titled “Experimental Investigation of Self-Compacting Rubberized Concrete Exposed to Fire”.

As the second son of a dairy farmer in the State’s South West, Jim was always going to have to carve his own path in life.
On Thursday 2 November, Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students attended a whole day training and development workshop in the new Seminar Room in the Medical and Dental Library. Forty five students attended: presentations were given, many questions were asked and much discussion took place.
