New MOOC on best practice farming for 2050

The University of Western Australia’s Institute of Agriculture has launched a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), on discovering best practice farming for a sustainable 2050.

The MOOC, Discover Best Practice Farming for a Sustainable 2050, uses the foundations of UWA’s Future Farm 2050 Project to introduce online students to sustainable agriculture and the many different disciplines needed to tackle the issue of feeding and clothing the world while maintaining the natural resource base.

Associate Professor Cosimo Faiello, from the Faculty of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (EMS) at the University of Western Australia (UWA), has been recognised among Australia’s finest university educators in the Federal government’s 2017 Australian Awards for University Teaching.

The awards, administered by the Department of Education and Training, were presented at a ceremony held at Frasers in Kings Park.
