Be sure to join us on Sunday, 12 August for Open Day at UWA! Come along and explore UWA's beautiful campus and high-quality facilities; interact with staff and students; and participate in a wide range of fun, hands-on activities.
UWA was abuzz with activity through the July school holidays with around 250 high school students participating in one of our ‘A Day in the Life of...' events to learn more about life as a university student.
The Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team at The University of Western Australia have won the 2012 SIFE National Championships.
The team, based at the UWA Business School, beat 23 other teams from around Australia at the SIFE National Conference and Championships in Melbourne. It was the fourth SIFE UWA National Championships win in five years.
Currently studying a combination Law and Arts degree, Jon Baker remembers how his study pathway and view of the world changed after a chance selection of an Anthropology unit.
"Not knowing which major to select for my Arts degree, I chose an Anthropology unit as it seemed really interesting. Little did I know how that small choice would alter my perceptions of the world around me so indelibly!
Construction on the new student accommodation and facilities at UWA's Currie Hall are now well underway with the new rooms ready for students commencing in Semester One 2013. The new development ensures that the University can accommodate more students in affordable accommodation close to campus.
Many of UWA's professional degrees are now offered at a postgraduate level; if you or your son or daughter would like to learn more about your future study options upon completion of an undergraduate degree, come along to the UWA Postgrad & Honours Expo on 19 September 2012.
The Expo is a great opportunity to explore the wide array of postgraduate coursework and research programs offered at UWA including Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Law and Architecture.
