You can find Jess Anstiss at the UWA Recreation Centre where she helps people work on their fitness as a UWA Sport Fitness Trainer. However when she’s not putting people through their paces you’ll probably find her on the netball court battling it out in arguably the toughest domestic competition in the world.
For the second year Jess is a core member of the West Coast Fever, WA’s Suncorp Super Netball team which is currently at the top of the ladder.

The new Careers and Employability Award launches next month and aims to help students prepare for a successful career pathway. To achieve the Award, students must complete EMPLOY101 online career development modules and a diverse range of experiences which enable them to articulate their employability, attributes and skills to potential employers. The Award will improve the student experience and enhance UWA's reputation for producing high-quality graduates.
As you are aware the University typically has a closedown period over the Christmas and New Year holidays. This is an opportunity for staff to take a well-earned break and spend time with friends and family.
This year, the University Executive has decided to extend the closedown period by two days to provide a full two week break. Accordingly, the last working day will be Friday, 21 December 2018 and staff will return to work on Monday, 7 January 2019.
Bronwen Veale spends her days raising the aspirations of high school students, inspiring them to study at university. After work hours she’s a swing dancer, regularly performing and even DJing for other dancers in Perth.
The School Partnerships Coordinator in UWA’s Equity Outreach team loves how her job inspires students who didn’t think that UWA was within their reach.
