Professor Carolyn Oldham of the School of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering knows about the wealth of environmental knowledge at UWA.
“UWA has a huge array of expertise in this area,” she said. “There are numerous environmental undergraduate and postgraduate programs, thriving environmental research groups, and many cross-campus collaborations.”
Carolyn saw a huge opportunity to draw all that expertise together.
The annual Save the Children Book Sale at UWA will open at 5pm on Friday 14 August in the Undercroft of Winthrop Hall.
As in the previous 50 years, a huge range of quality books and music will be on offer and the organisers hope to raise sufficient money to significantly help the programs of SCA, especially those in metropolitan and outback WA.
New and current employees are encouraged to seek advice relating to their own personal circumstances. Stephen Brereton and Stephen Henshall are UniSuper Advisers visiting UWA campus for individual appointments. To book an appointment please contact 1300331685 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Microsoft has announced that the next version of the Windows operating system, Windows 10, will be released shortly. Many staff may have already seen a free upgrade offer appear on their home computers.
Whilst you may choose to take up the offer to upgrade at home, please do not attempt to install Windows 10 on a UWA-owned computer, even if the upgrade offer appears. Doing so may mean you are no longer able to work with UWA business applications, and there is little that the IT team may be able to do to support you until a formal release.
