While Jordan’s UNESCO World Heritage site of Petra, carved out of rose-coloured rock, still survives, UWA archaeologist David Kennedy fears for a region that has seen too many archaeological treasures destroyed by ISIS. Late last year, the UWA archaeologist returned (as he does each year) to fly over Jordan, documenting its mysterious ancient stone structures, at the invitation of the kingdom.
This week the Brand, Marketing and Recruitment Division will be bringing together team members from various campus locations into the first floor of the Ken and Julie Michael building. The UniPrint and Mail Room team members will remain in their current locations.
2016 marks a special milestone for one of the University’s most established faculties. From its humble beginnings in 1916, the Faculty of Education at The University of Western Australia has grown to be ranked 33rd in the world, and 7th in Australia, in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.
