The first elements of the One Faculty, One Future project are now underway, with three of the working parties established and a proposed new professional staff structure circulated to the Faculty for feedback.

The One Faculty, One Future website (www.ecm.uwa.edu.au/staffnet/movingforward) is also now live, and contains information on the working parties, professional staff proposal and other information about the One Faculty, One Future project. Staff are encouraged to check back regularly.

Congratulations to the staff from the Centre for Offshore Foundations Systems whose staff and expertise have helped UWA to be selected as the host for the 8th International Conference in Physical Modelling in Geotechnics in 2014 current web site: http://www.icpmg2010.ch/.

This workshop is designed for lecturing staff who want to explore ways to foster deeper understanding in their students.

The University Engineers' Club (UEC) is holding a final year dinner for all graduating students on the 26th October. All staff members are also invited to attend the evening and congratulate final year students on their achievement.
