During the course of the Strategic Review 2009, the Co-chairs produced 13 papers detailing the issues and challenges we face as a Faculty, and providing options and recommendations as to how we should move forward.

These reports have now been amalgamated into a set of Consolidated Strategic Review Papers, which were presented to the Dean by Winthrop Professor Greg Ivey, on behalf of the Co-Chairs, at the Full Faculty meeting of the 8 September.

The Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics will be holding the Engineering Foundation's Research and Innovation Showcase on Wednesday 11th November 2009.  As we have used most of the brochures from last year we will need to reprint them and this provides an opportunity for staff to review the content of their brochures as well as provide new brochures for the event.

This workshop is designed for all managers and supervisors. It provides participants with a knowledge of occupational safety and health legislation, principles, responsibilities and practices and their application at UWA.

The University of Western Australia's reputation for research excellence has been recognised with the award of ten prestigious national Future Fellowships. Two of the recipients are ECM Faculty members: Winthrop Professor Mark Cassidy and Professor David White.
